Pixeldust’s Reptopia Magic Leap AR Experience has been selected to appear in SIGGRAPH’s Immersive Pavilion, along with a select group of other top augmented, virtual, and mixed reality experiences.
SIGGRAPH is an annual computer graphics conference which incorporates many events including academic presentations, panel discussions, as well as an industry trade show.
During SIGGRAPH’s review process, Pixeldust’s submission received a 4/5 rating with positive reviews. All of the reviewers were in favor of Battle of Reptopia, and consensually agreed it “ties in nicely together a lot of existing technologies to create what looks like a pretty compelling educational experience applied to a real-world themed location.”
Originally created as a digital exhibit for the Singapore Zoo, the Battle of Reptopia Magic Leap Experience is an immersive augmented reality experience using the Magic Leap One. Pixeldust specifically designed the Battle For Survival AR experience to appeal to visitors of all ages. They focused on developing a user-friendly experience by collaborating with Magic Leap to get the best out of their AR technology.
The developers at Pixeldust were able to create an immersive experience by leveraging state-of-the-art features like 3D spatial environments and 3D audio that allowed users to see, hear, and interact with creatures in their natural habitats.
