A year before the first Indigo Flow was assembled, Pixeldust was already putting it on the road. Our photoreal 3D promo let Indigo Technologies show and market its electric commercial vehicle before it physically existed.
Indigo Technologies came to Pixeldust a full year before its first vehicle was assembled. It needed to promote the Flow, an electric vehicle designed for ride-hail and delivery fleets, without a finished truck to film.
Fleets spend all day on the road, so the Flow had to be shown as more than electric: comfortable, connected and built for the job. Pixeldust created the promotional video with a blend of live footage and high-end 3D animation, from photoreal city driving to slow-motion breakdowns of the technology inside the wheels. Indigo used the visualization to promote and market the Flow long before the first one was built.
Inside the Indigo Flow
Pixeldust built hyper-realistic scenes of the Flow moving through an urban landscape, highlighting its sleek design and technology. Dynamic camera angles show it from every side: low angles for its robust road presence, high and wide shots for its elegant form, and cabin shots on the move that reveal the spacious interior, the clean dashboard and room for several passengers. Seamless transitions between live footage and fully rendered 3D keep the story speaking to commercial stakeholders and everyday riders alike.
The standout moment is Indigo’s patented Smart Wheels technology. An exploded wheel animation takes the wheel apart piece by piece, revealing every detail down to the sensors, the screws and the direct-drive propulsion system, a slow-motion breakdown that makes the precision engineering easy to see.
To show why the Flow rides so comfortably, Pixeldust simulated the shocks interacting with the road in real time. The x-ray view shows how the Smart Wheels’ shock absorption and sensor feedback adapt to different terrain, delivering a ride that feels stable and refined.
To illustrate Indigo’s vision for scalable technology, Pixeldust created a bird’s-eye view of an abstract cityscape where fleets of Flow vehicles connect to the cloud, sending and receiving real-time data to optimize routes, monitor performance and build a smarter transportation network. The wide view mirrors the style and detail of the close-ups, tying the macro and micro levels of the story together.
