01 — Overview
A good map tells the story before the narrator does. Pixeldust’s map reel gathers broadcast maps, routes, satellite views and points of interest designed to match the tone of each show.
Animated maps are one of broadcast television’s most common needs: points of interest, routes, plans and other explanatory information, shown clearly and with style. They can be as simple as a globe or as detailed as a satellite image. Over the past decade and a half, Pixeldust has mastered pairing dynamic, high-quality maps with the style and tone of each show or film. This reel, compiled in 2020, shows a few of the team’s favorites.
