How do you show a nation the infrastructure it has not built yet? For Qatar Rail, Pixeldust created a promo that made Doha's future roads, high-speed trains and metro visible years before they existed.
Qatar had a clear vision: bring new industry and economic drivers to Doha, and build the roads, fast trains and metro that growth would need. Pixeldust created a film that turned that plan into something people could see, blending live-action footage of Doha with luminous light trails and blueprint-style 3D visualizations of trains, stations and rail lines rising across the city.
The world saw Qatar’s accelerated development during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and that was just the beginning.
The film opens on the desert and the sea, then races toward the Doha skyline on ribbons of light, a simple visual idea for a country in motion.
Blueprint-style 3D trains and stations glide through real locations, so audiences could picture the network in the city they already knew.
A Qatari spokesperson guides viewers through factories and workshops, with holographic graphics connecting new infrastructure to new industry and jobs.
The film closes on Doha at night, its future rail lines glowing across the city, a promise of what the network would make possible.
