Follow a migraine as it travels through the body. For WebMD, Pixeldust designed an infinitely scrolling pop-art website that turns each stage and symptom into something you can see.
WebMD sought out Pixeldust’s graphic design expertise by tasking the team with designing an online medical content website that depicts the Journey of a Migraine through the human body. The Pixeldust web design team and developers created an infinitely scrolling website with a contemporary pop-art style that allows viewers to easily understand the stages and causes of migraines and their often severe symptoms.

WebMD asked Pixeldust to design an online experience that follows a migraine through the human body. The team created an infinitely scrolling website in a contemporary pop-art style.
The journey opens on a field of firing neurons, setting the scene in the brain before the migraine starts to move.
As visitors scroll, the migraine travels from the brain to the head, the eyes and ears, the nose and the digestive system, explaining each stage and cause along the way.
Bold illustration and clear typography make often severe symptoms easy to understand, without burying visitors in medical jargon.
Pixeldust’s web design team and developers built the site end to end, from the illustration system to the infinite scroll.
The final stages show how symptoms can reach well past the head, into the arms and legs.
